“Sweet Dreams” Watercolor Digital Download
For some reason, “sweet dreams” is one of those phrases I always find myself doodling. Whenever I get a new pen, marker or brush there’s at least one scratch sheet full of these two words. On one of such occasions, I liked a doodle too much to toss in the trash.
The original piece was painted with a watercolor brush using india ink diluted with water. I love using india ink in place of watercolor paint because you can achieve a similar look with a sturdier – waterproof and fade-resistant, final result.
I imagined this sign being used in a nursery or child’s room, or anywhere you could use a good night’s sleep. The turquoise would be great for a boy or a girl. You can certainly print this at home but if you plan to frame and hang I recommend getting this printed somewhere like Fedex/Kinko’s for best results.
You can see all the detail from the brush strokes that comes through even on the printed version. It definitely retains a beautiful, watercolor quality!
This is a high resolution pdf designed to print on standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper with enough margin space to trim to an 8 x 10 for framing. I had mine printed at Fedex for about using full color and 80lb paper for $1.25!
